IN 2011 RUSSIA EXPORTED TO MONGOLIA OVER 260 MLN KWH OF ELECTRIC POWER


During 2011 JSC “Eastern Energy Company” (JSC EEC) – the Russian power export operator at the Far East exported to Mongolia over 263 mln kWh power, of them 57 mln kWh - in IV quarter of the year 2011.

 

JSC EEC contracts with Mongolian partners have been effective since 2011 due to expansion of the company’s activities within INTER RAO UES Group. Electric power is supplied from Russia to the Central and Western regions of Mongolia by OHL 220 kW, 110 kW and lower voltage lines. The consumers of electric power on the territory of Mongolia are: JSC “Central Regional power supplying net”, JSC “Western regional power supplying energy system”, Hubsgul aimak company “Hubsgul-Erchim khuch” LLC, ÕÕÊ “ZMZ” and Chief Department of the State Customs of Mongolia. The Russian electric power is mainly used for load-factoring and consumer supply of isolated border areas of Mongolia.

 

The electric power supplies to Mongolia in 2012 are planned in the volume of 320 mln kWh.
